PODCAST

Audience Engagement and Outreach Inspiration

  • Create a bulletin board with post it notes for audience members to share stories of resistance and protest from their own lives

  • Build a lobby display showcasing moments of political resistance in the Canadian context to build points of connection for audiences

    • Examples may include:

      • Black Lives Matter protests

      • Protests surrounding Wetsuweten territory in British Columbia

      • University of Toronto student protests surrounding mental health concerns

      • Fishing disputes with Mikmaq fishermen

  • Include a program note with a brief history of Uganda's political regimes, and further information on both the Obtoe and Amin regimes

  • Incorporate images from contemporary political uprisings (Arab Spring for instance) into the lobby space and set design
